Come and enjoy live music, hot food, craft items, fresh produce and the Woolgoolga beach.Bollywood market will also be held on the 31st Dec 2011, New Years eve. It will also be a huge day with lots of locals and visitors enjoying the local stalls by the beach with live music to listen to.For new stall bookings, please call 02 66547673 and leave a message and then turn up on the day. Awesome start to the New Year 2010

What a great market day was yesterday! Wow!
Great band, Belly dancers and Bollywood dancing.

How much did we dance!
It was so good to see not only little girls but also teenage girls and boys, ladies and men have fun. I guess they were all from out of town. Surely they will keep these memories forever. They had so much fun after all. Woolgoolga will be an unforgettable experience for them all.

So many tourists. Every person I spoke to was either from Sydney, Brisbane, Port Macquarie or somewhere else.

I met a lady who grew up in Woolgoolga, went to Woolgoolga High School with John Arkan and now happily lives in Canberra with her young family. She is happy in Canberra but when I asked her "Is Canberra a paradise for you?". She said "No". So I guess John was right when he didn't let us move to any other city, nine years ago, when I was being offered double the pay I earn now. No pay package is bigger than our little paradise 'Woolgoolga'.

I have just come back from India. Every time I return, I feel more patriotic towards this beautiful paradise 'Woolgoolga'.

Note the happy partners roaming in the market. This is the magic of Woolgoolga waters that works wonders with peoples moods. I feel like writing a poem on the beauty of Woolgoolga. May be another day!

If the world was to end in 2012 and I had the power to save two places in the world, they would be Golden Temple in Amritsar and Woolgoolga Headland and beach.

Now if you are wondering what is this Golden Temple. Let me show you the photo of the place where I spent most of my days in India. And who did I meet? A whole lot of like minded Aussies who are willing to help me with my non-profit organisation to help the street kids of India. This place does fulfill all desires.

With you imagination, just add the beautiful music to the scene. The peaceful music is played with the hymns praising the One Universal God that sees all beings as his own creation; and teach us to respect God's creation and see Him in the beauty of the nature, from 3am till 10pm.

Free basic Kundalini Yoga was taught at the market by Marika Braak. Many people will remember Marika for a great experience that day.

What a lovely personality. Getting their hand read by Marika are Saihaj and Rachael who were suppose to be looking after the Jumping castle.

Woolgoolga Ladies Fun day (Teeyan 2009)

On 2nd Aug, we celebrated Teeyan mela where over 250 ladies came to enjoy the colourful dances, songs and dramas prepared by the Woolgoogla Punjabi ladies. The ladies were surprised at their own talent and thanked me for inspiring them.

Hopefully, over time they will allow young girls to showcase their talent to the Woolgoolga community at Bollywood market.

Lots of people came to get a shot of the bollywood music and dancing.

Alongwith Red Dragon's Tiko Japanese Drumming and Bellydancing, people enjoyed watching young Australian girls have fun with free Bollywood dancing lessons. There were smiles and giggles!

People bought seedlings, fresh produce, jewellery, clothes and a variety of food including spicy chai tea. There was jumping castle, fairy floss, popcorns, clown heads and lucky dips for kids to enjoy. A new stallholder with her knitting and cushions said, "It was a record market day for me. Definitely the best ever sales."

Bazaar Market a huge success

The first market was finally held on the 2nd of May 2009 at the Woolgoolga Beach Reserve. Visitors enjoyed a variety of hot food, art and craft stalls and fantastic free entertainment. The music was mesmerising and families sat around near the chill-out tent which was beautifully decorated in the centre of the market.

A lady from Ballina commented, "We only stopped here to use the public amenities. I didn't know Woolgoolga has such a colourful and entertaining market here. Next time, we will especially come for the market."

THE colour, spectacle and music of India proved to be a hit at the first Bollywood Beach Bazaar in Woolgoolga.

International Sikh singing act, Sant Singh Paras, led the entertainment line-up with the local Bollywood dancers and African drumming on Saturday.

The singing group sang traditional ballads accompanied by the saringi, a traditional Indian instrument.

The mix of world-music entertainment, market stalls, international food and beautiful weather was a hit that organisers are keen to repeat for the next market day on May 23.

Marketgoers came from across the region and made a whole day of the event.

Bazaar licensee, Mrs Surinder Kaur, was thrilled with the turn-up.

“It was jam-packed, there was no room and I was so excited,” Mrs Kaur said.

At the next market day, the entertainment line-up will include the Japanese Taiko drummers, African drums, belly dancing and the Bollywood dancers.

Bollywood Beach Markets starting 4th April 2009 at Woolgoolga

Bollywood Beach Markets are finally approved by the Coffs Harbour City Council. Finally my dream has come true after five years. Thats how long we have been dreaming about it. When Kim started her paperwork to operate "Harbourside Markets", I waited to see how the idea would go. I didn't want to see failure, so I decided to wait and watch first.

Now is the time to actually do it in practice. I hope I do a good job and the market enhances the quality of Indian Experience that people receive in this town that can almost be called 'Little India' or the capital of India in Australia. It was a shame that in the existing market, there was no Indian Food.
